Okay, so its one of the simplest tutorials I've had to write. It's all pretty basic which makes it oh-so-easy and wonderful (read: crap)

Hope this comes in handy for some people.

Great job!

I want to emphasize the point of being away from your background by at least 4 feet. It removes shadows cast by the light and blurs the background out.

When people ask me to CC their photography the number one comment I tell them is to step away from the background!

If I get paid to shoot people does that make me a hit man?
pretty nifty, guess tho not everyone can get 4 foot away from the wall. If i did that id be sitting out the window or wouldnt fit the whole person in the shot.

Great tut fr beginners...quick idea that came to mind reading your comments about standing 4ft from backdrop to reduce shadows - you could use a light directed onto the backdrop material, an even light would be great and not too bright or you get halos...but the light cancels any shadow effec caused by the main lights...just an idea! for ma mistress ;-)
