Get over the fucking April Fools bullshit

I don't understand why people think April Fools is such a cool day.

I mean, you get online and see people swearing/getting frustrated/saying they're leaving... when it is completely unlike them... its so fucking obvious its a prank.

You would have to be a complete and utter retard to not realise what is going on.

Hence why this journal is the only thing I'm doing on dA today.

I've already seen at least 10 journals saying 'I've had enough! I'm leaving'. I mean, please. Don't be a moron. At least come up with something original, people. You know - something people won't expect on such a notorious day.

Other things I've seen are 'I hate (person)' or links to prank/funny videos that are supposed to be 'serious' type videos.

I realise its all for a good laugh but everything I'm seeing has been done a million times before. I'll have a good laugh when someone manages to pull off a prank truly in the spirit of April Fools day without it being obvious its an AFday prank.

The next person I see saying 'I'm leaving' I'll say 'good riddance'.
The next person I see saying 'I hate (person)' I'll say 'you're no better you fucktard'.
The next person I see saying 'I hurt myself/my family got hurt/I'm dying from an uncurable disease' I'm going to say 'With a fucked up prank like that, I almost wish it were true'.

For the record, I got an email from an old friend today saying their father (who is absolutely AWESOME and made of win and has always treated me well) was in hospital after having a stroke.

I was gobsmacked, confused, overwhelmed... I didn't know what to say. I finally replied saying how deeply sorry I was and that all my love and support was going her way.

The reply I got was a video link - apparently a tribute to him and his years he spent on this Earth.

The link, however, went to a 'You just got pranked! Happy April Fools Day!'

Never... never EVER tell someone a prank about death/disease/pain/suffering for you or your loved ones.

After this, I will never trust a word she says. It may've been 'in the spirit of the day' but that is not something you should joke about.
